Jimmy LeBlanc (born James LeBlanc, May 6, 1974, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA) grew up in South Boston and was educated at St. Augustine's and Matignon High School in Cambridge. He worked as a professional boxer and sheet metal worker before turning to acting in the early 2000s, with no formal training. A friend encouraged him to audition for Ben Affleck's Gone Baby Gone (2007), noting his familiarity with cameras from televised boxing fights; his physical presence suited the film's gritty Boston underworld characters. He has been active since 2007. His notable film credits include Gone Baby Gone (2007, dir. Affleck, with Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan), Spotlight (2015, dir. Tom McCarthy, with Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Liev Schreiber), Stronger (2017, with Jake Gyllenhaal), The Catcher Was a Spy (2018, with Paul Rudd), Blood and Money (2020, with Tom Berenger), The Good House (2021, with Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline), and Boston Strangler (2023, dir. Matt Ruskin, with Keira Knightley). His sole television credit is Castle Rock (2018, with Billie Lourd).
